A special thanks to the facilities management team at J.C.G., Nick and June, for putting up with us for almost 8 years! And gosh were would I be without Colin, my trusty right hand man who has been there every Saturday morning at 7am, often in the freezing cold and dark mornings helping me hump kilos of food into the college, thanks Col and we will sort out the worlds problems with our sometimes odd conversations whilst peeling 100 onions! Minichefs Jersey would like to thank Checkers for their sponsership and continued support. A big thank you to Stevie Fitz who wrote and produced the home page jingle. Claire wishes him the very best of luck in all his future projects, thanks Stevie.
Before booking a course here's a little information about Minichefs cookery school.
Lessons held at Jersey College for Girls.
Our aim is to teach your children to explore different types of food, ingredients, smells, and tastes and unleash their culinary creativity. In a series of five one-hour lessons your child will prepare a whole spectrum of recipes in a safe and fun environment. We also teach kitchen safety, basic hygiene and nutrition.
Our courses are held on Saturday’s and consist of five consecutive lessons. Alternatively, summer clubs will be held on Tuesday's and consist of three lessons. Once you have chosen the course you wish to your child to attend, a place would be confirmed in writing on receipt of full payment prior to the course.
Each MINICHEFS lesson is held at Jersey College for Girls (Mont Millais site) and comprises of:
Different recipes designed for each course.
Recipe cards to keep after each lesson.
Cost of all ingredients.
Qualified chef and experienced child carers.
A safe and fun environment.
Personalised Minichef certificate at the end of each course.
A teaching ratio of four children to one supervisor.
